A Trail Ride in the Ethiopian Bale Mountains

 My week-long trail ride in the Ethiopian Bale Mountains was a lifetime experience  in the deepest sense of these words. Even though I’m always trying to  get off the beaten path, I have never thought it was possible to get  that far off it.
