A tour to a Historical place- War memorials
Today me and my friends decided to go out for a small tour.We didnot decide where to go.Then my chemist friend Partha told us to go to the "War memorials" which is situated at the middle of the guwahati city in front of Digholipukhori.
We went on a city bus at a fair of 5 rupees. After reaching that area we saw that some programs were still going. We decided to took part in the program. It was the Birth ceremony of Dr.Bhupen Hazarika,a legend from assam. We captured a picture of his statue and listened some beautiful songs performed by college students.
It was a pretty much joyful program for us.Then after 5 minutes we met our two school friend there. We are very happy to met them after a long time.We spent more than 1 hour with them.
We took some pictures with them.
Then we saw some war memorials like a trank and a fighterplane there.
Once upon a they are real but now they are just for show.We enjoyed the evening very much.
Some other beautiful statue of the place are..
A indian soldier..
Some fighters of old Assam..
We really proud of them. They are the real heroes for us and only for them India is now a independent nation.
Salute to those soldiers..
After 20 mints we got back to our hostal and the two girls left us in middle of the city.
We reached our room after sometime.
That was a small tour for me.But we enjoyed a lot in the evening..
Hope you will like my post..
