Getaway to the Oregon Coast! :)
Recently Oregon has been experiencing a massive heatwave. Temperatures started ramping up early last week, and hit a blistering 106 in Portland in on Thursday! My girlfriend @emily-rose and I we're dying in the heat, so we decided to have a beach day! Luckily I had Wednesday off of work, so we were able to spend the whole day at the Oregon coast!
First we decided to go to Cannon Beach! Cannon Beach is one of the more popular locations along the Oregon coast. It has a cute downtown and a wonderful sandy beach! The water was at pretty low tide when we were there so there was plenty of beach space, and it didn't feel too crowded! We were anticipating that it would also be extremely hot at the beach, but were very pleasantly surprised that it was only 85 degrees! We were going to go into the water, but it was still so cold that we couldn't make it past knee deep.

Since it was such a lovely day, we just decided to set out a blanket and enjoy the sunshine :)

Next we got some ice cream and decided to travel further south! We didn't make it far before we found a beautiful little cove called hug point!
The sun was beautifully pouring in through the trees surrounding hug point! :)
It was such a cute little beach and a beautiful time of day. We walked down the beach for a while and of course we had to hug!
We set up a picnic and just enjoyed the sunset together. It was a great day and I'm glad I got to spend it with the person I love :)
