My Travel Diary Part 1: The Sweetest Hellos and the Hardest Goodbyes
And it’s a wrap! I finished my last duty at my old workplace with a selfie. I felt a lil’ sad because I will surely miss that place especially my patients coz I worked there for 2 years but i’m happy as well coz it means my next stop is... Philippines! Yayyy!
But before I head to the airport, a day before my flight was actually Thanksgiving so we drove to my aunt’s house for a family gathering and eat dinner coz it’s Turkey Day! Btw that cute lil’ angel with me in the picture is my lil’ sister. Twinning on Thanksgiving!
It’s November 24th so it means today is the most awaited day!! I asked my brother to drop me off at the airport coz i can’t bring my car and just leave it there lol. My baby bear Mia kept me company during the 13hr flight from LA to Manila. Jet lagged ughh. Good thing she’s sooooo cuddly and fluffy!
I was warmly welcomed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport with a biiiiiiiig hug, a boquet of flowers..
..and a sweet surprise! I’m the luckiest! Thank you 💙
First meal in the Philippines: Filipino dishes, of course! If you are not Filipino and you want to try authentic and mouthwatering local dishes, I advise you to go to Max’s Restaurant! Their food are the bomb! And my all time favorite is their “Buko Pandan”. Makes me drool just by thinking about it ughh
And then for dinner is the very intriguing ramen place in Makati, Ramen Nagi! I ordered “Red King” and it actually tastes almost the same with my fav ramen in LA and its also called “RED ramen” lol. I like ‘em spicyyy
I stayed in Makati for a week. Did some grocery shopping, cooked meals, etc. and just wandered around the city. We did some scavenger hunting of all the food that I’ve been craving for so long because we don’t have it in LA and every bite i took made me feel nostalgic. I definitely missed my country!
And the best part of my first week in the Philippines is... seafood boodle fight! We went all the way to Quezon City just to try out this famous seafood restaurant called “Crab n’ Crew”. We actually saw the place in a facebook post and the pictures were very appetizing so we just had to go there.
This is my travel diary for now. Part 2 is coming up!!
