Travel Challenge # 13: Eagle eye panoramic site

Our walks through the Rhodopes are always panoramic and beautiful and we have always emphasized the wonderful views that the mountain of Orpheus reveals until we visited the Eagle Eye! The Orlovo Oko panoramic site is the place that overturned our images of the beauty of the Rhodope Mountains! A place that did not let us go, and it just dragged us to ourselves, even on the way back!

Let's tell you a little more about how to get to Eagle Eye. If you choose to walk, the transition will take you an hour and a half at a leisurely pace, with the starting points likely to be several. If you decide to go upstairs, you can go from the Yagodina cave, for example, and you can go to the top, the way from there exceeds an hour and a half, and if you go by car to the village of Yagodina the transition will be about an hour and a little!

If you want to climb the top with an off-road car, do not worry if you do not own one. Local residents have taken care of offering such a service. The options are 2 as a starting point. The first one we recommend is to go to Yagodinska cave, which is 2-3 km away. From the village of Yagodina and in the front you will immediately see a few jeeps you can rent to get to the panoramic playground. This option is more cool because you can also explore the cave itself and the cave dwelling above it.

The second option is to go by car to the village of Yagodina and in the village square you will see again parked the powerful cars you can go up to.

The cost of carriage in both directions is 60 leva, no matter how many people you are in the car. In principle, the cars accommodate 6 people, so if you are a large group you can take advantage of just 10 leva per person and if you are only 2 or 3 you can wait and combine with someone else from the local visitors. The SUVs are specially suited for climbing and have open rear seats from which you can shoot at will! Traveling in the direction is about 25 minutes, all the while climbing through the dirt roads and the experience is unique. As the driver has been absurd, this is the best way to cure kidney stones! You make two uploads on your way to Eagle Eye, then you drink 2 beers and everything goes out

If you are fond of more extreme experiences, you can ask the driver to drive you on a steeper path, so the keff is guaranteed. We, of course, asked him and in some places we had the feeling that the car would turn, but assured us that there had never been such a case!

The site itself is at an altitude of 1563 meters. The construction is built over the gorge, as a man standing at the end of the gorge is located at over 680 meters high, which is up 2 times higher than the Eiffel Tower, for example. The panorama site itself is ready to carry a load of over 2 tons, so we can kill at least some of the worst visitor's concerns.

The view revealed from the top and the panoramic playground is something inexplicable, not in words, nor in pictures, nor even in videos! No matter how hard we try to tell you what the crook will be revealed to you above, we will not be able to. Indeed, from the sight of people who have visited the whole Rhodopes and visited most of the famous and unknown sights, we can say that the view of the Eagle eye is unique!

In front of you will be revealed the beauty of the Buinovsko Gorge, as well as a large part of the Rhodope Mountains, both the Bulgarian and the Greek parts. Additionally you will see a small part of the Pirin mountain and Rila. There is no such place, really. Our guide and driver also showed us the tip of Durgaway, which is right across from us. His literal translation means "Stop and look around", really having a look around. The peak is one of the tallest in the region and is known for its growing Mursalski tea. The true wild Mursal tea differs greatly from the one we buy on the strollers. It is shorter in color than a home-grown one!
