Diving with Hawksbills in the Seychelles!

After working on coral and fish survey's all week long, what better way to spend the weekend other than getting on a catamaran with some of the most amazing people to go traverse the ocean. This weekend-long trip will probably always be on the top of my list as the best "mini-vacation" I've ever taken. Among all the things that we did though, swimming in a marine protected area where the sea turtles were more curious about you then you were excited about them, was by far the best. This sea turtle decided to come up to us and give us attention for almost a half hour before it decided to dive back into the ocean and we couldn't help ourselves but dive along with it for as long as we could. We eventually had to come up for air and we were thinking we'd never see it again, only to be greeted by the sea turtle at the surface again only a few moments later for more attention and another dive!
