Rupit i Besalu in Cataloniab part 2
A small, charming town, retaining in its historic center the specific character of ancient times. It lies in the north of Catalonia, north-west of Girona.
The town was experiencing its splendor when it was the seat of Besalú County. It enjoyed independence until 1111, when the counts of Barcelona took over Besalú.
It's me. sexy attractive and amazing will not wake up
It is worth going through the streets of the old center. The narrow, interesting building will lead you to a small central square. You will see a Romanesque monastery church there. The Benedictine Abbey Sant Pere de Besalú was founded in 977, and the church was consecrated in 1003. The French occupation in Napoleon's time followed by civil war led to the monastery's ruin, luckily the church survived.
I love Besalu... Its a very special town for me :) nice pics and nice post!
