Carnival Cruise Ship Brawl Not Surprising

The cruise line isn't called "Carnival" for nothing. If you have ever taken a Carnival cruise, you know what I mean. My last trip on the cruise line reminded me of riding through a rough part of town. There are sketchy people onboard that one must definitely keep an eye on, and out, for. Some of these passengers act like they are living out a scene from Scarface. "Ghetto-fabulous" types that expect everyone (including other guests) to be subservient to them and act like like uncontrollable children when something doesn't go their way. I cannot forget the two women that were meandering down the stairs on the way to the bar. They were laughing and talking raucously about how much money they were making, how well their husbands were doing, etc. When a busy bartender didn't immediately offer to serve them, they began rebuking him loudly, demanding to see his boss. then there was the lady at the deli counter one late night giving the employees a hard time about her sandwich. "This doesn't have enough meat, and it's NOT what I ordered!" It was exactly what she ordered, but she obviously didn't know WHAT she had ordered. Don't get me wrong. Most of the guests are just happy to be away from their lives for a little respite. I have had some compelling and enjoyable interactions with many on the ships. But there is always a group onboard that leaves one uneasy. they are the ones that fan out across a crowded hallway, daring anyone to bump into them. They drink too much, fight amongst themselves, or let their children run amok. They push people out of the way, yell over everyone and everything, and will not think twice about bumping into fellow passengers with hands full of food. You the know the type.

So this headline comes as no surprise. Carnival is known as the "party" line. Passengers pony up for drink cards and refuse to let a day go to waste. It's no surprise a situation like this has been uncovered. This is most likely a more common occurrence than anyone would care to admit.
