South Africa's Kalk Bay Voted One of the Coolest Town's in The World!
The Quaint little suburb of Kalk Bay has always been one of my favourite places in the world. Situated in the South Peninsula of Cape Town South Africa this Rustic little neighbourhood might be small in size but its filled with tons of character.
That's why it came as no surprise to me when Forbes recently voted Kalk Bay one of the Coolest Neighborhood in the World.
Best Described

Located on a harbour, Kalk Bay is traditionally a fishing suburb filled with vintage shops and eateries. The neighbourhood has an alternative style, and most would say its a haven for the surfer hippie type.
I, on the other hand, would describe it as a seaside town influenced by a melting pot of Cape Townian culture with something for everyone. Vintage, Rustic, and full of life!

I still love Kalk Bay and enjoy a trip down there when we're visiting. We used to regularly get fish off the boats... :D
Totes the best! I stay about 3kms away - so i generally enjoy my run to the habour and back!
A beautiful part of our country, really hoping to visit again soon @mimismartypants
Your content gives a good overall taster of the town with lovely photography.
Thanks @joanstewart! Definitely, a must do when visiting the Cape, even if its only for the Ice Cream :)
@mimismartypants In the past whenever we visited from Johannesburg, we regularly popped in at Kalk Bay to check out the antique stores and the eateries, but now that we are residents of the Western Cape Province, I think we will pop in more regularly! Btw. Welcome to discord and #teamsouthafrica miss smartypants! Lol. Upvoted!

I love this area. When visiting I normally go the Brass Bell and we sit and wait to see if a train will come winding around the mountain from Muizenburg.
Brass bell is one of the good spots. Especially in sumner. Can catch a swim in the tidal pools while you relax!
