Tea Pot Hill! BC, Canada Photos (Part 3)
One of the coolest parts of this hike I forgot to mention was right at the very beginning, when only a couple of minutes in an eagle flew right in front and above our heads. You could hear and feel the wind from the powerful wings as it flew by and it was truly breathtaking watching it glide through the tree filled terrain. How they can even trek through the trees like that is just incredible to think about. We then had another incident, but this time it was just a scare. We heard this loud rattling in the trees and saw movement and both froze and were certain it was bear. Luckily after a few second we realized there was nothing coming and then saw the wind blowing the tops of the trees so hard they made this loud noise as if something very large were coming. But it was a false alarm luckily, and will be prepared next time!
There are similar traditions through the world, like the locks on the bridges, leaving pennies, etc. but this is my favorite one because the teapots are all so unique and different and each have their own story to tell the world. It was such a bizarre but cool thing to see while enjoying nature, making it fun for people of all ages. I hope to find more interesting hikes like this as we go along our adventures as it makes for a great change of pace from you basic hike.
Stay tuned for video from our other hike from this day at Bridal Veil Falls, and stay tuned for our Bridge Park adventures from yesterday!
