Bucketlist: Some of the most beautiful places in the world

in #travel6 years ago

Granted, I'm not sure where to start. There are just a few places that are on my personal bucket list. Places I would like to visit at least once in my life ... What about you?

Be it extraordinary places that hardly anyone knows, dangerous places that cause a certain thrill in me, or simply breathtaking places that are beautiful for dreaming. I'm determined to visit as many as possible - no matter where in the world they are! Maybe one of these places will make it to your bucket list of the most beautiful places in the world?

Trolltunga in Norway

So who dares to grope forward to the very top is definitely not a wimp! The Trolltunga, or Troll Tongue, is literally 700 meters above the man-made Ringedalsvatnet Reservoir in Norway - and around it is nothing but a deep abyss. The Trolltunga is a place that I think definitely I must have visited. Whether as a brave explorer, who dares directly on the tip of his nose, or as a photographer - that's up to you. In any case: whole or not! ;-)

Banff National Park in Canada

I do not know about you, but I love national parks! Each of them has something very special, no matter where in the world it is. The unique nature, this scenic attraction and interesting animal species, which you do not get to see otherwise. And when I look at pictures of the legendary Banff National Park in the wonderful Canadian province of Alberta, then I get wanderlust, because this park is just unique - and definitely worth a visit. But do not be surprised if you see a bear, you are finally in Canada.

Whitehaven Beach in Australia

That I am an absolute fanatic of Australia, that should probably no longer be a secret. But, my dear readers, all I can say is that you have to go to Australia at least once, twice, three times - well, let's leave that - but you must have seen this multi-faceted, fascinating country with your own eyes! Whitehaven Beach is just one of the many places you must visit - but certainly one of the nicest. This paradise like spot is located on the Australian East Coast and belongs to the Whitsunday Islands. There are several boat tours that take you from the small town Airlie Beach out to the islands. Unfortunately you can only swim here in the stinger suit, as many jellyfish like to visit these waters. But who cares? Whitehaven Beach is one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Fascination Antarctica

Antarctica is known for its unusual, unique ice formations, which are a very popular photo opportunity for many photographers. But it's not just this stunning ice landscape that lures me into the Antarctic, but also the wonderful animals that just fascinate me. Of course you have to wrap up here a bit thicker, but a look at the cute creatures makes the cold and the long journey again more bearable, or what do you think?

Rajat Ampat Dive Lodge

The island paradise of Raja Ampat in the Indo-Pacific is a true mecca for diving fans from all over the world. Hardly any other place is more suitable, more beautiful and probably even more unique than this paradise like diving area - which also holds the current world record in terms of fish and coral diversity. How about, friends of the diving sport, should I go on the search for cheap flights and a suitable accommodation? I already have a nice place to stay: the popular Raja Ampat Dive Lodge on Mansuar Island.

Machu Picchu in Peru

What initially looks like a deserted, uninhabited village is actually Peru's most visited tourist attraction. The small and well-preserved ruined city of Machu Picchu, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983, was once built on a 2300 meter high ridge between the peaks of Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu. For almost 8 years, it has even become one of the seven new wonders of the world. And if you look at this archaeological site, that should not be surprising.

Popeye village on Malta

Who of you actually knows the sailor Popeye, a funny cartoon character whose trademark is spinach, which he uses in heaps to gain undreamt-of powers? In 1980, they finally decided to film this successful feature film in this wonderful little bay called Anchor Bay in the northwest of the holiday island of Malta. Thus, film director Robert Altman had the romantic Popeye village, also known as Sweethaven, built out of wooden houses, which today is a popular destination for many tourists. What do you think? Go on the trail of Popeye and indulge in childhood memories?

Marina Bay Sands in Singapore

What do you think about swimming in the highest pool in the world? The legendary infinity pool of the famous and architecturally unique 5 star hotel Marina Bay Sands, a landmark of Singapore, is simply sensational. Here you can swim not only in incredible 200 meters height your tracks, but also enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the vibrant metropolis Singapore. I would say, for once you can do without the beach, right?

Sunrise at Mesa Arch, USA

A romantic sunrise early in the morning on the beautiful sandy beach is somehow the typical stereotype. Alternatively, I would offer an unforgettable sunrise at Mesa Arch, the landmark of Canyonlands National Park, Utah. If you want to see it from afar on a tour of the USA, I have to disappoint you, because to reach the Mesa Arch, you have to take a little hike. But I would say, the view is worth it!

Holidays in paradise - Cook Islands

Lonely, long sandy beaches, palm trees, with a coconut in your hand, relax in a hammock and do nothing but relax your soul and let your gaze wander over the turquoise blue sea. This paradise lies on the Cook Islands - even I am speechless! Here you will find the most beautiful accommodations on the Cook Islands - on to paradise!

Well, what do you say to my personal bucket list? I have to say, I would not want to stop, because there are so many amazing places on our planet that it's worth traveling to. Which places are on your personal bucket list? What must you have ever seen in life?
