.... I am shocked by how a tiny little country can pack so many different vibes, languages, cultures & levels of income. In some ways, SG’s policies are decades ahead of the world (they charge vehicles for using roads to combat traffic and encourage public transit). But at the same time, some of their regulations feel super backwards (you can’t buy alcohol in parts of Little India). I left this country feeling confused but also really intrigued. How did a nation come to be so extreme in so many different spectrums? The world has a lot to learn from them but also a lot to teach them. .
