CRAFTED AT THE WESTIN NUSA DUA, BALI
Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali recently introduced the Crafted at Westin program, a new signature beverage menu that invites guests to choose well behind the bar with premium and natural cocktails.
This new program is part of the Westin Well-Being Movement, which encompasses programs across Westin’s six pillars of well-being; Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well and Play Well. These pillars aim to promote a comprehensive approach to healthy lifestyles.
Situated at the beach front with the light breeze and stunning view, it was easy to finally relax after a hectic schedule in the city.
The first one was Pomegranate Green tea. This vibrant fuchsia colored drink consists of Hendricks Gin, Fresh Lemon Juice, Pomegranate Juice, Green Tea Syrup, and Orang Bitters. This had a definite sweet flavor and we liked how the alcohol did not empower the overall taste. The second on the list was a Spanish favorite, the Sangria Royale. Consisting of Port Wine, Martini Rosso, Lemon, Lime, Orange, Agave Simple Syrup, and Ginger Ale, this one had a more tangy taste to it with the ginger aftertaste quite evident for me, which reminded me of a traditional Javanese ginger drink with a modern twist. The last crafted cocktail on the menu was the Chamomile Mule. We had a milder version of this one, with the vodka replaced by Chamomile infused liquid mixed with Honey Simple Syrup, Lime Juice, Ginger Ale, and Cinnamon. This was super refreshing and had a great balance between citrus lime and that richness from the cinnamon flavor. In terms of the presentation, this was my favorite because of the ice-cream cone filled with popcorn on the side – such a fun surprise and perfect for all ages.
All in all, the natural ingredients and local flavors in these drinks were quite evident. Honestly, on a hot day by the beach, with the ocean view and light breeze, nothing is better! Gotta say a special thank you to Luis, the restaurant manager, Eddy, our bartender for the afternoon, and all the staff involved who made sure our family had a wonderful time. This was an experience truly in line with Westin’s Well-Being initiative – every element of a guest’s stay or visit designed with their well-being in mind. Choose well, dine well. We sure did.
