The great cannon in the USA
The great canyon is a striking beauty, it is two billion years of geological history. It was created by the Colorado River, whose channel undermined the land during those years, the Colorado River and its tributaries cut layer after layer of sediment exposing years of the history of the earth. It is about 446 km long and reaches depths of more than 1600 meters.
It is located in northern Arizona. USA and was declared a world heritage site in 1979 by Unesco.
