Ursula Malbin’s Sculptures Garden in Haifa
In 1978 on the slopes of Mount Carmel in Haifa, a garden displaying her creations was ceremoniously inaugurated under the symbolic name of "Peace Park" — the only sculpture park in the world dedicated to the works of a female sculptor.
Stroll through the cozy alleys of the park, admire the bronze sculptures of young men and women, mothers and athletes, musicians, and cat lovers. The sculpture garden houses 29 bronze sculptures.
Tha main entrance to this park is on Hatsiyonut av.
As you walk along the shady paths, you will encounter various bronze artworks that capture different moments of life and emotion.
Here stands a woman raising her hand with a bird perched on it. Her posture is graceful, and her gaze is directed upward as if she is setting the bird free. Just behind her, a little farther away, sits another sculpture — a man resting on a stone, seemingly lost in thought.
The park's paths neatly paved and equipped with handrails ensuring a comfortable stroll.
This place invites you to pause, reflect and immerse yourself in the harmony of art and nature. Here, you can experience serenity, find balance and simply relax in the peaceful presence of these exquisite bronze figures.
Nearby a sculpture depicts a woman surrounded by children. One child is in her arms, while others reach for her, cling to her dress and hold onto her. It is a powerful representation of motherhood, protection and the deep bond between a mother and her children.
Most of Ursula’s sculptures depict women, men and children with her inspiration drawn from her imagination. Over her lifetime she received 12 different awards for her works including the prestigious French Academy of Fine Arts prize which honored her in 1995 with a gold medal for her sculptures.
The park is situated in one of Haifa’s best viewpoints offering breathtaking panoramic views of Haifa Bay, the port and even northern regions of Israel — Western Galilee.
It remains one of most peaceful and romantic spots in Haifa visited by both tourists and locals alike. Despite its simple design, the park carries a profound philosophical message — the harmony of people, nature and art. It is a perfect place for walks, photography, relaxation and even meditation. If you ever find yourself in Haifa be sure to visit!
