Trails: Travessia Abraão X Parnaioca - Ilha Grande-Rio de Janeiro/Brazil

The beautiful Parnaioca Beach is one of the most isolated beaches in the whole of Ilha Grande. Facing the Atlantic with its yellowish and coarse sand has rough seas, it is deep and with little shade in its 1,000 m long. At the west end, it flows out of the Parnaioca River which is a charm, forming a small lagoon on the beach. In the golden age of Parnaioca, its river was already much more voluminous, a point that was impossible to cross the time of heavy rains.

Tips: to go to Ilha Grande, I advise to go via Conceição de Jacareí, the crossing time is shorter, about 50 min and the first boat leaves at 07:30; To get to Parnaioca take the road that leads to Dois Rios and then take the trail that begins on the right side of the prison; On the road, there is a shortcut to the right, as soon as the descent begins towards Dois Rios, cutting a good path; The Parnaioca trail is well defined and there are no bifurcations, which makes it easy; Beware of some holes that exist in some narrow passages; What makes it difficult is the distance, because if you are going to do the trail with a backpack you have to be prepared;
