MÉRIDA | Sierra de La Culata National Park (Photos) | Parque Nacional Sierra de La Culata (Fotos)
Hello, everyone! In my last post I might have mentioned a trip I made to Mérida, Venezuela. The first time I visited this beautiful state was back in 2009, and of course I fell deeply in love with it, and who doesn’t? Let’s see:
- First of all, the weather is delicious.
- Secondly, the weather is delicious.
- In third place, people are so nice!
- In fourth place, the landscapes are impressive.
- By last, the weather is delicious.
Although there’s tons of reasons to visite Mérida, the truth is this time I went back because I was dying to see my cousins Ray and Tony. Why? Because they’re crazy and super funny… (Enough with the chattering, Mariam).
¡Hola a todos! Creo que mencioné en el post anterior que hace poco realicé un viaje hacia Mérida, Venezuela. La primera vez que visité este bello estado fue en el año 2009, y quedé totalmente enamorada de él, ¿y quién no? A ver:
- Primero que todo, el clima es delicioso.
- En segundo lugar, el clima es delicioso.
- Tercero, las personas son súper amables.
- En cuarto lugar, los paisajes son impresionantes.
- Por último, el clima es delicioso.
Aunque hay razones de sobra para visitar Mérida, la verdad es que esta vez regresé porque moría por ver a mis primos Ray y Tony. ¿Por qué? Porque están locos y me matan de risa... (Listo, Mariam, no hay necesidad de tanto parloteo.)

The other day my cousins took me to the Sierra de la Culata National Park. This park belongs to the mountainous region of the Cordillera de los Andes, and includes the páramos El Tambor, Campanario, Mucuchíes, Hato Viejo, La Estrella, Monigote y Piedras Blancas.
Although I was dying to take some good pictures, my cousins drove nonstop to the park. For that reason, the few photographs that I could take look moved and out of focus, but it doesn’t matter, I still want to share some with you.
Entonces, aquí vamos:
El otro día mis primos decidieron llevarme a conocer el Parque Nacional Sierra de La Culata. Este pertenece a la región montañosa de la Cordillera de los Andes, e incluye los páramos El Tambor, Campanario, Mucuchíes, Hato Viejo, La Estrella, Monigote y Piedras Blancas.
Aunque moría por darle pela a mi cámara en el camino, mis primos condujeron sin parar hasta el parque. Por esta razón, las pocas fotografías que pude sacar lucen movidas y desenfocadas, pero de igual forma quiero compartir algunas.
The second photograph you was taken in a tiny cemetery that we found on the road. Since I am the number one fan of the graveyards, I forced my cousins to stop when we came back to introduce my eyes and my lens into that mysterious and magical space.
The cemetery turned out to be beautiful. Although I would love to publish those pictures right now, I prefer to do it later.

La segunda fotografía que viste fue tomada en un cementerio pequeñito que encontramos en la vía. Como soy fan número uno de los camposantos, obligué a mis primos a detenerse cuando veníamos de regreso para introducir mis ojos y mi lente en ese espacio misterioso y mágico.
El cementerio resultó ser bellísimo. Aunque me encantaría publicar esas fotografías ahorita, prefiero hacerlo luego.
