In the municipality of Cordova, Cordova operates in Roro port in Sitio Camolinas , Poblacion Cordova. Sitio Camolinas is part of the Poblacion Cordova wherein , according to certain citizens that there are lots of interesting places to visit, interesting food to taste and interesting events to experience. In the history of the name Sitio Camolinas, according to the certain vendors that its first name was Molinas but due to their habit of saying in vernacular “tana, adto ta ka JUAN, ADTO TA KA Pablo, adto ta ka MOLINAS!” After all, they realized that it sounds good if they will call it "CAMOLINAS"!
Camolinas , so they call it now Sitio Camolinas. Sitio Camolinas is one of the historic and most interesting destination in the Municipality of Cordova. According also to their chairman, Trinidad Tajanlangit Pacaldo, 60-70 years old, that Sitio Camolinas existed in the time when she wasn’t born yet. It is more than 70 years since CAMOLINAS evolved and improved when it comes to their different destination. Come and join me in exploring and knowing more about Sitio Camolinas.

Sitio Camolinas Chapel is their sacred place where the ceremonial events happen. It includes wedding, different masses, Christmas parties, prayer meeting and etc. This also serve as their foundation of hope where if there is a certain calamity, Camolinas Chapel will also be their evacuation center. It is located nearby their sports complex at about 10 km. This has also serve as the classroom of the youth organization where they will practice spiritual teachings and habits and etc. A place also where they celebrate and honor their patron or saints. Senior San Pedro San Pablo for the males and Virgen sa Regla for the females. It is categorized according to their gender. This is also where other intervention happens when it regards to their concerns and issues in Sitio Camolinas. Now let us move on to the other significant area of Camolinas.

Sports complex in Sitio Camolinas is one of their strongest active center where distinct events occur that includes their cheer dance competition, dance presentation, sports event, Panagat festival which different fishes and seashells (kinason) and also fluvial. Fluvial of their patron or saints—Senior San Pedro San Pablo and Virgen sa Regla. Camolinas sports complex has been built for almost 7 years that is also being supported by their mayor. Their complex also serves as the rehearsal room for different dance festivals that is also being collaborated by different barangays in the Municipality of Cordova.

This tiny and indigenous nipa house is what they call as their purok center where political discussion usually happen. This will serve as their political intervention where all purok officials including the chairman will gather and share their ideas for the common good and public welfare. It is also used as their guidance dwelling for the different instances or problems that the sitio has or will have.

Upon exploring the significant places in Camolinas, let us now explore their marketable, affordable, felicitous, delectable and lusciou food. It includes banana cue, grilled banana and sweet corn. According to the vendors, these delicacies and foods are very marketable to the tourists due to its unique taste and unique way of making. Grilled banana is their most marketable which is simply grilled on the sizzling fire, filled with sugar and coated with sweetened margarine with also an affordable price which is 10 pesos only. Banana cue is very famous in entire Cordova but specialized in Camolinas where in it is with cream, condense milk, and brown sugar. It is also marketable product due to its friendly and affordable price which 12 pesos. One of the best selling delicacies is also the sweetened corn or sweet corn. It is a boiled corn coated with hot and creamy caramel with cheesy powder. Much affordable with a friendly price which is 10 pesos. These delicacies and marketable food products shape the implication of Sitio Camolinas in the Municipality of Cordova.

Roro Port in SITIO Camolinas is one of the m ost visited place in Cordova. This has been one of the most beautiful, and intriguing tourist spots. The production also of different boats or sakayan or ride boats. Roro port in Sitio Camolinas became also a portal of different island hoppings. It could be through Olango island, Bohol island and other Mactan islands that surround Cebu City. Roro has been the source of economic growth and state of living for the citizens who live in Sitio CAMOLINAS. The existence of Roro is approximately more than 50 years according to a certain citizen. I, as a researcher, also experienced the wonderful adventure in Roro wherein I experienced island hopping which we used Roro as our portal through different type of island in the Philippines with a fare of 4000-50000. Roro is the perfect place for a family reunion, friends’.

Parola is an excerpt place of Roro, Sitio Camolinas in Municipality of Cordova. It is where most of the people have their picnic bonding, get away celebration, school activities, or even in the field in media, where shooting, taping or filming happened. Parola is one of the most visited coastal area which you can have your trip and your destination for free. Its area is rich in salty water, heat of the sun and etc. where foreigners love to visit most especially my cousin who already experienced and noticed how nice the Parola is. She usually do a jogging or even hiking there just to observe the sunset and cold breeze. Parola is indeed a nice destination and worth it to visit. Newest model of boat ( sakayan).
In recent years, MUNICIPALITY OF Cordova also has improved their economic growth which can support infrastructure , materials and most of all other intervention in Roro such as the boats ( sakayan ) which they used as a vehicle for the island hopping. This one is the newest model of their boats. This was actually made of well-furnished and well carved woods and lumber. This was made for almost 3 years ago. This would serve as their way of living or sort of income. This has been used already by different foreigners who had their trip. According to the owner , this one is molre reliable to ride on. They also produce this kind of boat at a price of 55 thousand pesos. I am now done introducing to you the amazing SITIO CAMOLINAS IN THE MUNICIPALITRY OF CORDOVA.
