Eine Reise um die ganze Welt

[a journey around the world]

Meine liebe Freunde,

reist mit mir durch die Welt und entdeckt wie schön sie an anderen Fleckchen sein kann.

Ich und meine Familie (auch weitere Generationen) sind sehr reiselustig und lieben es andere Länder kennen zu lernen.
An dieser Stelle, einen riesen Dank an meinen Eltern, die uns dass Reisen auch schon in frühen Kindheitstagen ermöglichen konnten.

Wir beginnen unsere Weltreise in Europa.
Die erste Station, wo es uns hintreiben wird, ist eine Rundreise auf der grüne Insel mit den Ländern Großbritannien und Irland.

Die Reise beginnt in Southampton im Süden von Großbritanien.

We begin our world tour in Europe.
The first stop where it will drive us is a round trip on the green island with the countries Great Britain and Ireland.

The journey starts in Southampton in the south of Great Britain.]

Steine in Stonehenge (Großbritannien)

Etwa eine knappe Stunde von Southampton befinden sich die historische Gedenkstätte mit den Steinen von Stonehenge bei Salisbury England . Vor einiger Zeit konnte man als Tourist noch hin durch klettern, jetzt können sie über einen Rundweg aus allen Sichtweisen beobachten werden.

[About one hour from Southampton is the historic Stonehenge Memorial at Salisbury England. Some time ago, as a tourist, you could still climb through, now you can watch over a circular path from all points of view.]

Stonehenge

Stonehenge besteht aus einer Grabanlage, die von einer von mehreren Steinkreisen gebildeten Struktur umgeben ist. Man nennt diese Strukturen, Megalithstrukturen.
Zu den zwei besonderen Steinkreisen zählen der äußere Steinkreis aus Pfeilersteinen und der innere Steinkreis mit einer hufeisenförmigen Struktur.

Stonehenge ist ein muss, für jeden Touristen, der England besucht.

Von England aus machen wir einen riesen Satz und reisen schon nach Irland weiter.
Dort gibt es den bekannten Glenveagh National Park, wo wir rasten werden.

[Stonehenge consists of a tomb surrounded by a structure formed by several stone circles. These structures are called megalithic structures.
Among the two special stone circles are the outer stone circle of pillar stones and the inner stone circle with a horseshoe-shaped structure.

Stonehenge is a must, for every tourist who visits England.

From England we make a big sentence and are already traveling to Ireland.
There is the famous Glenveagh National Park, where we will rest.]

Glenveagh National Park

Wenn man einen wunderschönen Tag aus Schlössern, Gärten und prachtvolle Natureindrücke erleben möchte, sollte man auf jedem Fall den Park besuchen. Allein das Glenveagh Schloss und die tolle Landschaft ist beeindruckend. Dabei gibt es den Glenveagh National Park noch gar nicht so lange. er wurde erst 1986 gegründet, ist aber der größte von 6 National Parks in Irland und befindet sich im Country Donegal.

Nach dem schönen Tag im Park, setzen wir unsere Reise fort, in Richtung Nordirland und der Stadt Belfast.
Entlang der Küste, machen wir Halt an einer etwas anderen Brücke. :)

[If you want to experience a beautiful day of castles, gardens and magnificent natural impressions, you should visit the park in any case. Just the Glenveagh castle and the great scenery is impressive. And yet Glenveagh National Park is not that long ago. It was founded in 1986 but is the largest of 6 National Parks in Ireland and is located in Country Donegal.

After the beautiful day in the park, we continue our journey towards Northern Ireland and the city of Belfast.
Along the coast, we stop at a slightly different bridge.]

Diese spektakuläre Hängebrücke ist die sogenannte Carrick-a-Rede-Hängebrücke.
Sie verbindet die unbewohnte Carrick-a-Rede mit dem Festland. Die Insel und befindet sich vor der Küste des Country Antrim.
Eine Überquerung macht nicht nur richtig Spaß, sondern es lohnt sich auf jedem Fall, auch wenn man erst einmal etwas Mut haben, denn so etwas macht man natürlich nicht jeden Tag.

Die Fahrt geht weiter nach Belfast. Immer wieder entdeckt man während der Fahrt schöne Landschaften, die uns einfach dazu bewegen, sie zu fotografieren.

[This spectacular suspension bridge is the so-called Carrick-a-Rede suspension bridge.
It connects the uninhabited Carrick-a-speech with the mainland. The island and is located off the coast of the Country Antrim.
A crossover is not only fun, but it is definitely worth it, even if you have some courage, because of course you do not do this every day.

The journey continues to Belfast. Again and again you discover beautiful landscapes during the journey, which simply cause us to photograph them.]

Belfast

Wir machen nur einen kleinen Stop in der Hauptstadt von Nordirland, auch wenn die Stadt übersäet ist mit Attraktionen und dort mit Sicherheit keine Langweile aufkommt.
Belfast ist vor allem durch den Bau des berühmten Schiffes "Titanic" bekannt geworden, aber auch das Ulster Museum und des Cave Hills, sind berühmt für die Stadt.

Das Wahrzeichen der Stadt, ist dieses tolle Gebilde. Der Friedensmauer.

[We only make a small stop in the capital of Northern Ireland, even though the city is littered with attractions and there is certainly no boredom there.
Belfast is best known for the construction of the famous Titanic ship, but also the Ulster Museum and Cave Hills are famous for the city.

The landmark of the city, is this great entity. The peace wall.]

Die Friedensmauer ist eine Friedenslinie zwischen den pro-irischer Republikaner und den pro-britischen Unionisten.

Außerdem fielen uns in der Stadt auch vieler dieser Schilder auf, die darauf hinweisen, das ein Alkohlkonsum in der Öffentlichkeit strikt verboten sei.

[The Peace Wall is a peace line between pro-Irish Republicans and pro-British Unionists.

In addition, we noticed many of these signs in the city, which indicate that a consumption of alcohol in public is strictly prohibited.]

Weiter geht´s in Richtung Norden nach Schottland.
Wieder eine Fahrt durch schöne Landschaft und Naturereignissen, wie das Tal Glen Coe.

[We continue north to Scotland. Again, a drive through beautiful scenery and natural events, such as the Glen Coe valley.]

Bis hin zu unserer letzten größeren Station auf unserer Rundreise durch die grüne Insel, Loch Ness

Loch Ness

Jeder kennt es. Das berühmte Monster Nessie von Loch Ness und niemand hat es je gesehen :)
Loch Ness ist dabei der schottische Süßwassersee, der sich im Hochland etwa 10 km südwestlich von Inverness im Great Glen befindet.

[Everybody knows it. The famous monster Nessie of Loch Ness and nobody has ever seen it :)
Loch Ness is the Scottish freshwater lake, which is located in the highlands about 10 km southwest of Inverness in the Great Glen.]

Hier endet die Reise. Mit einem Sonnenuntergang in Hull.

Natürlich wurden noch viel mehr Eindrücke mit der Kamera festgehalten, aber es ist so eine Vielzahl, dass es gar nicht möglich ist alles in Worte hier festhalten zu können.

Danach geht es weiter zur nächsten Station. Frankreich !
