The World Festival of Youth and Students -- Russia 2017

Last week I got the exciting opportunity to participate in the *World Festival of Youth and Students* in Sochi, Russia.
over 20.000 Students from over 180 countries traveled to Russia to participate in this unique get-together.
The Russian Federation as the host of this event made sure to provide the participants with the great infrastructure that hosted the Winter Olympics in 2014.
Apart from travel cost the host organization even covered the program cost for the participants.
The 7-day program included not only a cultural program, like music, art and dance performances from around the world but also discussion-groups, lectures and workshops on the topics relevant to all of us.

I must admit that I mostly participated in the Technology & Innovation program though. Learning about Blockchain, Business Innovation, Quantum computing and working on Design Thinking!

The Sochi Olympic Park
This festival had something to offer for any taste and I strongly encourage students reading this to partake in future Conferences/Festivals. Too many co-students of mine are unaware of the great opportunities that exist out there (don't worry, for most of them there is financial aid available).
