Hello Steemit Friends!

Today I'm going to continue my travels to Paris, France travel blog 1 part 2.

We last left off talking about my lifelong dream of visiting Paris, France finally coming true. If you want to catch up on the first part, you can click HERE

After visiting the Musee d'Orsay, it was time to continue our adventure to the most recognizable landmark in all of Paris, the Eiffel Tower! From the museum, I hopped on the nearest metro station and got out at Champ De Mars / RER C line to be greeted by this beautiful sight.

I couldn't help but smile at the magnificence of the tower, the way its unique structure was built, so I kept on walking until I got closer and closer to it. At this point I realized just how much work was needed to create this visual masterpiece. The tower was actually taller than I was led to believe.

Unfortunately, At it started raining and I had not yey entered the base of the Eiffel Tower, so my girlfriend and I searched for shelter in the nearest place that we could find which was underneath a sprawling oak tree. Once the rain died down, we finally made our way to the security line. Thankfully, the lines were not long since we visited in the off-season around September.

Protip: I would highly recommend you to book your travels to Paris, France during the autumn off-season so that you don't have to worry about too many tourists being everywhere and ruining the experience of seeing this magnificent city. This is especially awesome for my fellow photographers who want to take pictures without the constant overcrowding that is present in famous landmarks all around the city.

Being my first time to the Eiffel Tower, we decided that I would not take the elevators to the top but rather climbed up the over 700 stairs until I reached the top. This was no small feat, but it was well worth the effort as the views 360-degree views were absolutely stunning; the higher higher we got the more beautiful Paris became. Looking all around us we could see the entire City glistening in the distance with its busy city life underneath us.

Upon reaching the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, I discover something new that I had not previously known about the tower, which was that there was a glass bottom on which you could stand on and have clear, unobstructed views of the bottom where everybody was buying the tickets. This was nerve racking for me because I always have thought that it would break however rest assured that this is a strong structural glass and will not break.

After the first and second floors, you have to take an elevator to reach the top. At this point I decided not to go to the top because I wanted to see the breath-taking city view at night.

I decided to return to the Eiffel Tower a few days later when it was night time as I wanted to see the Eiffel Tower lit up from the outside. This time, I decided to take the elevators which run along one of the four legs of the Eiffel Tower. After reaching the top, the first thing I realized is that the Gustave Eiffel, the gentleman and owner whose company built the Eiffel Tower had his own private room at the top!

Mr. Eiffel invited special guests and he was said to be the envy of all Parisians at that time. People from all over Paris wanted to pay Mr. Eiffel generous sums of money in order to get a glimpse of his room and rent it out; however Eiffel would not budge and only brought famous people to the top such as Thomas Edison! The top of the tower can be quite scary since it sways freely due to the wind, however there is nothing to be worried about since it is a safe structure and it is fully grated. At the top we bought Champagne ($$) and enjoyed the views.

No trip to Paris is complete without taking pictures of the light show that happens every single hour at the Eiffel Tower.
I provided this photo for you guys so you can enjoy it the way I did.

Fun fact: It is actually illegal to take a photo of the Eiffel Tower at night due to the installation of the yellow lights which makes the tower not part of the public domain. The rest of the tower is in public domain.

I haven't provided the light show photos since I felt it would ruin the fun of my viewers one day visiting Paris and experiencing it for themselves.

I really hope you guys enjoyed the second part of my Paris adventure. Stay tuned as I am excited to share with you all the third part of my adventure. I sincerely appreciate all of your comments, upvotes, and shares. Your support is my driving force for providing you with more and more unique content!
