I would like to introduce you to where I live: the Yukon in the north of Canada.

The Yukon is larger than California and covers more area than Germany, Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands combined.
With all of that land, there is only about 38 000 people living here and of those 30 000 living in the capital city of Whitehorse.

Whitehorse is called the city of wilderness. Bears, mooses, lynx, eagles, wolves are commun sighting right outside city limit and more than we would like right downtown. I saw a moose on a cold night of winter walking right along the river by main street road like humans didn't exist.

The population of bears is estimated at 10,000 black bears and roughly 7000 grizzlies

We also have a herd of bison (about 1000 bisons) near the south border of the Yukon. The bison was reintroduced after complete extinction by overhunting. Today, hunting is the only way to control the bison population to over extend the moose, deer and elk territories as the wolves haven't figure out a way to kill bisons (yet!)

This little bugger came after a BBQ party. Some pieces of food must have fall underneath our deck and attracted them. I got a video and more pictures if you are interested in seeing more. Let me know in the comment section.

This one is a mountain sheep. The picture was taken in our local wildlife preserve that take care of wounded or orphans animal. That one was released not too long after I took that shot. Great isn't it?

Heavy duty all around, truly spectacular! Unfortunately the rewards are for a short time span only while good content doesn't lose its value. Hopefully you will be inspired to show us more of that God's Country where you live.

thanks for your comment, I am going to make another post about the Yukon. It truly is the last frontier that we share with our neighbour in Alaska. Talking of Alaska, I have tones of amazing footage that I really want to share. I just need to get better at writing and catching people short attention.
