Mountain climbing on Black Saturday (This is the day that Catholics believed that Chris died). Filipinos celebrate long weekend during Holy Week and some of us take it as a chance to have a long vacation or just a staycation. This year most of my days spent on staycation not like last year were I traveled to the paradise of Palawan.

My friend and I decide to go to on a hike. Not far from Cebu City, there is this Mountain called Naupa located at Naga and it has an amazing view, so we give it a shot.

We agreed to met early and took a bus from south bus terminal at 6 in the morning. Mt. Napua is located at Naga City south of Cebu. It’s just less than an hour ride. We got off at South General Hospital. At Tungkop you can find motor bike that can take you to the starting point.

We started the climb with a guide since we didn’t know that much about the place and we're beginners (no shame to that lol). The trail is not that hard yet not that easy. For professionals and enthusiast they can do it half an hour but it took us almost an hour to reach the summit.

There are two summits which have different entrance fee of Php 20 (heads up) and both offers an amazing view when you reach the top. You can pass rich green meadow (it depends on the season). Along the trail there cottages that offers food and water.

It also offers good spot for star gazing when you're staying for the night. Sadly we have errands to do the following so its just a day itinerary for us. Next time surely we'll stay to have that first hand experience.

The whole experience was great and surely be back for it. The story is not just when you reach the top but the whole journey to way to the summit.
