Stephan F. Austin Monument, Angelton, Texas

I was driving to Surfside Beach a few weeks ago for a weekend getaway. Along the way I ran into this gigantic white statue of Stephan F. Austin, widely known as the “Father of Texas”. This is located in Angleton, TX. It’s a long drive from Austin, so I decided to stop here for a break, take some pictures, and get some drone shots. You can see from the photos and videos that there isn’t a lot around here. But it's the area Stephan Austin decided to settle, so they decided to put his monument here.
