CRAVE American Kitchen and Sushi Bar –– The Crown Jewel of Downtown Summerlin, Las Vegas
Crave Restaurant Entrance, Downtown Summerlin, Las Vegas
CRAVE American Kitchen & Sushi Bar first opened its doors in October of 2014, the same month Downtown Summerlin made its debut. I went that first month, and have been going back ever since. Crave is an elegant yet casual restaurant that offers premium food at reasonable prices.

Crave's blend of both classy and comfortable is well-suited for a wide variety of customers and occasions.
You will truly crave Crave. I know I do!
Christmas Holiday Dining at Crave Restaurant, Downtown Summerlin, Las Vegas
For anyone that’s walked around Downtown Summerlin, it is pretty clear they did an exceptional job. Cobblestone streets, palm trees, unique inviting architecture and lovely designs can be found throughout. And of course all the wonderful shopping and eateries. Did I mention the plush movie theatre where you can recline in leather chairs and order red wine? Yes, Regal DT Summerlin rocks.
Crave Restaurant is a perfect compliment to any and all of these Downtown Summerlin activities. Its fun and comfortable with friends. Its romantic and cozy for dates. Its professional enough for business lunches and dinners. Its great before or after a movie. There’s a large bar too (with TVs for sports fans), plus a patio.
Enjoying the holidays at Crave Bar, Downtown Summerlin, Las Vegas
When the weather is right, which is often in our town of Las Vegas, the patio is fantastic. It overlooks a beautiful, palm-tree-lined walkway with an impressive monolithic sculpture and fountain.
All of this could possibly be a moot point if Crave didn’t have good food. But it doesn’t just have good food – it has fabulous scrumptious fresh food for numerous tastes. My friends, family and I have tried nearly everything on the menu. You can’t go wrong.

I love their steak as well as their sushi. I’ve known the Executive Sushi Chef, Hiroki Ohata, for over three years. He is truly a master at work, and a consummate hard worker. Whenever I visit Crave – which as mentioned is quite often – Hiroki will whip up small but spectacular sushi creations for my party and me.

You must also try “The Original Coconut Cake” on their dessert menu. I don’t eat desserts often, but when I do, I make sure it's Crave's coconut cake. Delicious, fresh, moist, glorious and heavenly! This is what dessert should be. And before Crave I didn’t think I was a big fan of coconut cake -- their recipe proved me wrong.

Did I mention their margaritas? My fiancée and I love their Ginger Lime Margaritas. As well as their red wines. They have an impressive wine list, with a gorgeous glass wine room perched in the middle of the main dining room.

With this long list of attributes, one may wonder, who has spearheaded such a stellar establishment? That would be Jason Talbott, Crave’s General Manager & Executive Chef.

Jason Talbott opened Crave as the Executive Chef. He has maintained a strong vision coupled with a strong work ethic from day one. Then three months ago he took over as General Manager. Month by month Jason has sought to improve every aspect of Crave. And he's succeeding.

I’ve watched Crave get better and better. They now have live music on Wednesday nights, featuring “the human jukebox,” Hal Savar. They do festive stuff for every holiday. They run great deals and promotions every month. They listen carefully to customer feedback and then sometimes add items to the menu. And of course they treat customers exceedingly well, with high attention to detail and service.
