Moon Valley in La Paz City
This place is called Moon Valley (Valle de la Luna). Believe it or not this name was given by Neil Armstrong......yes, the Astronaut. When he came to La Paz and visited the place, he said it looked like the Moon. I don’t know how true this story is, but this is what the guides tell the visitors.
The area consists of a one hour trail/hike that is safe but you do need good shoes and be willing to sweat a little. The area is peaceful and you can really have a nice time with your family and friends.
If you ever come to La Paz, this place is a must visit, it’s perfect for adventurous travellers. The price to enter is 15 BOB, about $2 USD.
Make sure to reserve some time during your trip to La Paz to visit the Moon Valley, you won’t regret it.
