This Sta. Cruz, Manila-born dude calls Bislig his second hometown. My family moved to Bislig in the early 70s due to a hiring boom in the papermill there, PICOP. We stayed there until 1979 and then went back home here to Manila for good.

I have seen many beautiful places while growing up down there, and have also seen many things that many city dwellers could only dream of, like seeing a big saltwater crocodile in the San Jose River near where we lived, as well as other creatures that many Filipinos can only see in pictures on the Internet.
