In the last review, we reviewed the features of the rest on the southern coast of the island of Bali - the beach of Nusa Dua. And if I liked the rest there on 4+, then I will put only 5+ island of Phuket. In this review, we together with you will analyze the magic of Phuket.
Beaches. The island is constantly hot weather, 30 degrees here is not the limit, while there is no strong wind as in Bali. In this weather, you always want to swim, sunbathe and eat deliciously :) This is all in abundance, but, depending on your needs, I will give you a recommendation on what beach you need to choose. There are 3 large beach beaches in Phuket. It is believed that 3 :) This is Patong, Karon and Kata.
My spouse and I rested at the hotel Duangjitt Resort & Spa 4 *, which is located on the beach pathog. This had its pluses and minuses. If on vacation for you silence is more important, clean beach, beautiful water, then you obviously are not here :) Patong is a "plague" beach, a place for those who like discos, various shows, shopping in shopping centers ... The beach is dirty enough, the water Not transparent and there are many algae floating in it. My wife and I were a little upset that we took the hotel on patonga, as a beautiful beach with clear blue water is our priority. But this problem was solved. The local public transport is called "tuk-tuk." He looks like this:

Sit on it, it will take you though at the other end of the island, to the beaches of Karon or Katy. At the same time you can admire the local views and see how people live here. But this way of moving around the island is quite expensive and results in a decent amount. A trip to one end cost 400 baht, which in our equivalent is almost 800 wooden, but because to ride every day, you will have to find fellow travelers and fold. You can rent a moped, but go to Phuket as anyone wants. I have noticed many times that driving is extremely dangerous, if you are not local and do not know how it is accepted here. If you do not need daily discos and parties, it's easier to take a hotel on the beaches of Karon / Kata and occasionally visit Patong. For what - I will tell further :)
The beaches of Karon and Kata ... are very similar to each other and are nearby, and yet there is a difference between them, two differences). First, there are often waves on Caron, sometimes up to a meter and a half. Fans of "swinging on the waves" here is just heaven. Secondly, a cafe is located 100 meters from the beach. Prepare delicious, you can sit in the cool, the word beauty. Kata Beach is distinguished by the absence of waves, and you can eat right there on the beach - there are small shacks everywhere, where one should recognize, excellent cocktails and all "kuskovschinu" - pizza, burgers, etc. Where it is better to judge you, but the features of the three major major beaches we have considered.
Liberation. Oh, that's enough here. Razvlecheniya and shopping - the privilege of the patong. Here is the largest shopping center "Jung Ceylon". The prices there are not to say that cheap, but there are also more expensive. The most interesting thing is that the same local "chips" in the form of wallets / belts / bags of stingray, python, crocodile and other, exotic for our country, are also offered on the beaches. At the same time, they can be bought much cheaper, although they will not be provided with documents, of course. I bought the belt and purse for 40% of the price in "Jung Ceylon". Compare the quality with the original from the shopping center - no difference. Similarly, I managed to buy a clock on the path, I knocked down the price 3 times, the seller told me "No, my boss kill me" :), but still sold at my price. In general, with regard to souvenirs, and simply purchases of things (not food), you can, and even need to bargain, no one takes it badly :). In addition to the shopping center there are many street shops, eating houses, cafes, nightclubs. Nearby there is a sports arena for battles, which is loudly and colorfully advertised. On the evening patongu ride trucks, on which the guys in boxing form knock on gloves, play the most powerful speakers with an appeal to visit Thai boxing. It's all very effective and looks fun. Not far from the shopping center "Jung Ceylon" there are several night clubs where you can dance. But the music is mostly local and we did not visit them. There are many interesting excursions and places to visit, but we'll talk about them in the next post.
Food. Excellent :) Many hotels work on the principle of BB (breakfast), although there are all inclusive, but in our hotel the surcharge for it was extremely high. But the places where you can eat deliciously and inexpensively enough. Fried calamari rings in breadcrumbs, royal and tiger shrimps, tasty mangoes, juicy bananas .... Durian xD Durian is not allowed to eat in cars and enclosed spaces. It has a terrible smell, if you opened it, but the taste ... how many people, so many shades of taste I recognized. The overwhelming majority did not like it, but, nevertheless, many people want to try it, since this can only be done in Thailand (it is possible in Singapore, but it is taken there from Taya). In short, you can always eat tasty and inexpensive here, but be careful with local Thai cuisine. It is too sharp, it is extremely cheap, but looks like this ...
