• Mokpo is a city on the southern tip of the Muan Peninsula in Jeollanamdo, South Korea.

• It is a place where maritime industry developed from the old days.

◎ Sightseeing spots

• "Gatbawi" is a rock on the coast, famous for its similarity to the shape of a hat.

• Mokpo Cultural Town, a concentration of culture and arts, is famous as a cultural space where visitors can see, hear and experience Mokpo's art and history.

• Nogyungbong refers to the megalithic peaks at Yidar mountain in Mokpo city.

◎ Specialties & Festivals

• Mokpo Port opened in 1987 and is the center of trade and logistics transportation. To celebrate this year, we hold a festival every year.

• It is a coastal area, so there are a lot of seafood from this area.

• Skate, crab, small octopus and other foods are famous.
