RE: The best places to lose your money in Las Vegas

in #travel8 years ago

I was there in April for 6 days, with some girlfriends for a 50th birthday celebration. We did some of the same things, but we missed a lot of the things you saw. Thoroughly enjoyed the Neon Museum. Spent hours every day walking round just gaping at things. It could be hours in just one hotel. Which Cirque de Soleil show did you see? We saw O and Ka. Where did you stay?

@kiwideb We saw Ka, soooo not worth losing a day at the Timeshare thing for some cheap tickets. Although the show was spectacular. First we stayed near Fremont street at the Californian, then moved to Treasure Island on the strip, then got right out of it to the Fiesta Henderson, to do some work - we fully took advantage of the cheap rates during the week and went camping in the weekends. Its a bit different to Chch!

Yes, it's a bit different to Wellington, too! I loved Ka. Although all the shows we saw were amazing, I think that was my favourite. The two birthday girls chose our hotel, which was New York New York. I was actually really pleased that's what they chose, after seeing the other hotels. It might have been less spectacular, but was much easier to navigate. We went up to Fremont St one night, but weren't in time to get organised to do the zip line, which I would have liked to do. So many things to do, and only 6 days. We saw a lot, but there is always more. Had a ball anyway.
