Hong Kong's Backyard: Fan Lau 分流
Fan Lau Costal Trail which hugs the coastline for seventeen kilometres from Shek Pik 石壁 and to Tai O 大澳, is one of most relaxing walking trail in Hong Kong.
Fan Lau, meaning Divided Flow, is a small peninsular which has is a nearly forgotten indigenous village on the southwestern tip of Lantau Island.
It is so named as it is located at the estuary of the Pearl River, where brackish water of the Pearl River flows into open berly clear Pacific Ocean water. Where the currents merge a sinuous line can be seen.

Happy new year! Great to see posts about HK because I'm from Hong Kong as well! :)
Did you walk to 分流石?
Btw followed you - hope we could build steem dollars together in the future!
Nice to see you Charlie! Unfortunately we didn't go to 分流石 this time. However, we went to 東方小祇園 after the walk, and had a very nice vegetarian banquet!
