Routeburn Track - one of the Great Walks on the New Zealand

Hi Steemian guys! Let me show you something of New Zealand beauty :)

Whoever has already visited New Zealand certainly knows that, especially on the southern island of the fiordland area are some of the most beautiful tracks in the world. One of them is a Routeburn track.
The Routeburn track includes a spectacular crossing of New Zealand's Southern Alps and takes you through the incredible landscapes of Mt Aspiring and Fiordland National Parks. This Great Walk is a 2-4 day, 32km track. The track starts at either the Routeburn Shelter or The Divide.

My journey led from the routeburn shelter through the forest to the hills and the icy clear stream. After 6.5 km we had the first stop in the routeburn flats campsite where we were overnight in the tent without a sleeping bag and the pillows...even it was summer i do not recommend :) but that view from the tent was worth it...

Early morning we start for the rest of the track and the landscape was so amazing.
Before the highest peak of the main track Harris Saddle (1255m) is Lake Harris.

Above Lake Harris, the track arrives at the Harris shelter. The popular side trip to Conical Hill (1515m) is commonly done from the shelter, and offers a 360 degree view of the area. From the saddle (1255m), the track traverses southwards along the Hollyford face, with expansive views out to Martins Bay and the Tasman Sea, before a descent of a steep series of zig-zags to Lake Mackenzie Hut.

Between these two lakes you can see the beauty of the fjord.

It is possible to overcome this track in a one single day but I recommend spent at least one night in the hut or campsite.
If you like wildness of forests, mountains, lakes, streams and the rocks, you would love this track.

FACT: There have been several deaths, for example in July 2016, a Czech male hiker fell and died while hiking the track. His female partner sheltered at the Lake Mackenzie Huts for a month before she was rescued.
So be careful! :)
