Morocco Seen from the Sky - Exceptional video.
Last week I watched an exceptional documentary on a French TV channel (France2). A documentary directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand which he entitled “Morocco Seen from the Sky”. Oh my God! That was a tremendous job. More than one hour of breathtaking images! I am sure that nobody has seen this extremely beautiful country like this before. That was a real artistic achievement.
Morocco is a beautiful country that is full of a thousand beauties. On board of a helicopter and equipped with a camera, the photographer takes us to the heart of Moroccan wonders. He flew over Morocco from the historic Fès-Meknes to the immensity of the Sahara through the capital Rabat, the dynamic Casablanca, the salt mines of Essaouira, the beaches of Dakhla, the beautiful Marrakech and the snowy peaks of the Atlas. Even those who know every place in this country, have the impression to rediscover it when watching this documentary. In fact filming from a helicopter helps to reach places that we can never visit or see otherwise.
I have visited this beautiful country twice in the past and fell in love with it. Today, after having watched this documentary, I have the impression to discover it for the first time. Of course, I love it even more.
Morocco is a country in North Africa with a Mediterranean coast and an Atlantic coast. It is also a country of mountains since 25% of the territory is at more than 1000 meters of altitude and shelters about 15% of the population. The country has a dozen peaks at more than 4000 meters, including the Toubkal (4167m), the highest point in North Africa, and the M'Goun (4068m).
In the south of the country, you will find another landscape : the Sahara Desert with its huge swathes of sand dunes and rocky plains. Here, the climate is very dry, with long and hot summers.
If we want to speak in details about Morocco, we need a whole encyclopedia. However, I invite you to watch the documentary. You will discover a great country with breathtaking landscapes filmed by a great artist.
Enjoy!
