Katya K Travelogue • Episode 2 • Waterfalling in Bali - Nungnung Waterfall in Plaga
About half way from Ubud to Bedugul there is another wonderful waterfall you absolutely should visit. It is located in Plaga village, area most famous for local wine produce with the same name. But aside from that is boast lush nature, winding scenic roads and this waterfall named Nungnung. Access to Nungnung is quite a fitness challenge. If you worried that you indulge too much and exercise too little those super steep steps (a lot of them!) will leave no trace of your guilty feeling.
Nungnung Waterfall (photo taken from internet, if you know the author let me know :))
Nungnung is pretty powerful and moderately tall. I would not recommend to stand under the stream of falling waters itself, but then again I have never tried it, so would not call myself an expert on this. Waterfall has i thigh-level deep basin (the water level will vary with seasons though), so you can spend some time there leisuring in its fresh waters.

Enjoy the magic and relax to the fullest, because remember all those steps you took down? That is the only way up and there is no way around it :)
Location: Desa Plaga, Kec. Petang, Belok/Sidan, Petang, Kabupaten Badung
