There is a small but interesting museum at the foot of the Giza pyramids. The Solar Boat Museum is the house of the Solar Boat that most likely was used to bring the body of Pharaoh Kheops to his last home, the pyramid of Cheops.
Buried for about 4500 years, the funeral bark was only discovered in the 1950s at the foot of the big pyramid. It is pretty well preserved for a wood boat that old.
