Snapshots of Thailand
Hello fellow Steemit Buds!
I thought I would just upload some snapshots of my experiences in Thailand. We traveled through Bangkok, Koh Samui, and Ao Nang/ Krabi area. We did not make it to norther Thailand but we certainly will next time we travel. Enjoy the photos and if you would like to see more head over to my travel blog: www.packgumption.com
[Please keep in mind it is still developing but I will have more content up soon and a Gump Shop if you want to rep our gear]
Big Buddha
This snap is from Koh Samui and features Big Buddha. If you notice the large amounts of smoke it is because at sunset, the landmark closes, and the monks cleanse the site with smoke. Truly a breathtaking experience.
Fisherman's Village Bophut
We stayed in the Fisherman's Village on Koh Samui for a few days, and we simply loved the atmosphere. It was a great area with food and shopping everywhere. We enjoyed fire dancers on the beach as we sat on bean bags, and bar hopped. Local crafts and handmade goods are abundant in this area, and locals set up their stands throughout the village.
In Bangkok there are so many hotels to stay in but all hotels are not created equal. We were fortunate enough to find one that was not only reasonably priced but spectacularly beautiful.
If you're traveling to Thailand you absolutely have to check out the temples and religious landmarks. The architecture is rich and truly transcendental. Though, be sure to dress appropriately. Men need to wear long pants and women should cover their shoulders, legs, and chest.
Khao San Road
Khao San Road became popular through the famous book The Beach. It was once the backpacker haven in Bangkok for a cheap bed and plate of food. Today, it is a mecca of tourism and shopping. We enjoyed staying here during our time in Thailand but it is important to keep in mind that it is no longer the truly authentic Thai experience that it once was.
There are so many more photos of our travels in Thailand and the U.S. If you would like to see more or if you're looking for advice on minimalist travel on a budget comment on this post and let me know. If you guys let me know what kind of questions you have I will curate some posts to address them for you!
Until then keep steemin' it!

Hello! It's nice to see you here!
The dumbest mistake is viewing design as something you do at the end of the process to ‘tidy up’ the mess, as opposed to understanding it’s a ‘day one’ issue and part of everything.
Great Post!
I'm not sure what the context of this comment on "design" is.
