This coming summer many tourists and local filipinos come here in Mactan Lapulapu City to experience the Island Hopping. So, if your purpose for the Island hopping is more on sightseeing and seeing great fishes try here in Mactan Lapulapu City.
Since we were already in the island of Mactan, our group had decided to spend a day for an island hopping activity. The island of Mactan is a gateway to several islands and underwater spots that are great for island and underwater adventures. Mactan Island provides one of the greatest island hopping activities in the country. A vast range of island destinations wherein each one has its own distinctive interest neighbors the island. When we having an Island hopping we visited 3 islands.
The Pandanon Island
When we visited Padanon Island, I can say that it's worth it because of the beautiful white sand and crystal clear water sea. And the ambiance also is very nice and it's good for relaxing and you can breath a fresh air of it. By the entrance 150 pesos you can enter the beautiful Pandanon Island.
Nalusuan Island
In Nalusuan Island we did not enter the island because our time and budget is just limited but we stop near the island, si we just having fun to dive our swimming, and jumping on the boat. With the cold sea water is very good to take a dive, in first you will afraid especially when you didn't know how to dive because of the deep sea water but it's safe because you have a life jacket.
Caohagan Island
And the last one is Caohagan Island this island very nice also, but unfortunately we didn't enter again this island but when i research this about this island and I saw that the place is very nice and good to unwind.
How to avail Island Hopping?
Getting a boat to hire for an island hopping adventure in Mactan is easy. The rate of the boat is depending on the number of people and the size of the boat. A small boat that can accommodate up to 10 persons can be rented for about PHP 2,000. A bigger boat that can accommodate up to 20 persons can be rented for about PHP 3,000 The boat rental is already good for the entire day. Other expenses like snorkeling gear; guide fee, island fees, meals and other similar expenses are not included from the boat rental. But the life jacket is for free in the boat you rent.
Important Tips for Island Hopping:
• Make sure to bring enough food, snack, and water as obviously you’ll be in a long day in the ocean exploring the beauty of Mactan Island.
• For a boat first, find some site or search where to book a boat.
•Boatmen can just assist you with your grilling stuff and watch your things while you’re swimming. But just to make it safe avoid bringing expensive jewelry and other unnecessary gadgets, because they are not responsible for any loss of your belongings.
• There's no ATM machine to the island you visit so bring enough money for some expenses.
• Ready your swimming attire including your snorkeling equipment. Also don’t forget to bring sun screen/lotion and other skin related products, extra towels and of course your camera.
Having an adventure like Island Hopping is one of the best experience because you can visit some beautiful island that you didn't visited before. So take the opportunity and cherish the moment if you having an island hopping.
