3062 - Most Economical Vacation Destinations Around The world
A list of top ten most economical cities to spend a vacation around the world is out. India tops any other country of most economical destinations with four of it's cities making this list. The worst destinations for your vacation cost wise would be New York where I am spending my two weeks family vacation now, Dubai, London, Singapore... Yes, cities where the average income is high are also bad for your pocket when choosing a vacation spot.
Something to note is that New Delhi which made the tenth spot on this list is actually the worst destination for Indians themselves as the average income in India falls below the level to enjoy visiting or living in New Delhi. Before you start criticizing the Indian government, I have the same feeling myself visiting New York from Ohio, the cost of visiting/living in New York for Americans is the same like that for Indians visiting/living in New Delhi.
Now let's look at the top ten list:
1 - Almaty, Kazakhstan.
2 - Lagos, Nigeria.
3 - Bangalore, India.
4 - Karachi - Pakistan.
5 - Algiers, Algeria.
6 - Chennai, India.
7 - Mumbai, India.
8 - Kiev, Ukraine.
9 - Bucharest, Romania.
10 - New Delhi, India.

Interesting that these cities made it. My main point is safety and good facilities if there is an emergency. Did the source analysed all these factors like health, safety, emergency needs if required , etc. Good list indeed, thanks for sharing, upvoted.
I agree safety is important. Though I am generally not scared, my friend went to Lagos last month and he said he needed armed escort even during the day. Doesn't sound cheap necessarily. Has the OP been to any of these destination? What is the source of this list?
Good point, however it depends on the person life style . I went on holiday to Lagos last year and it was very peaceful and I enjoyed myself without the need for any armed escort...of course you can take armed escort if you want, just as you can go with armed escort in most cities in the United States due to drugs dealers and gangstars
I am from Pakistan and i am with you on that Pakistan is a very cheap place to visit if your budget is very tight, but trust me you don't want to visit Karachi, if someone is interested in visiting in Pakistan, then go to northern areas of Pakistan, very beautiful places with great food and hospitality at its best, great people of northern areas and many foreigners visit these places in northern areas like K2 and Chitral @joseph
I would like to visit all ten on your list. I live sort of near San Francisco and it's still sort of reasonable when it comes to expense of visiting
I want to say that prices in Lviv are even lower than in Kyiv (Kiev), but look at what. Interesting places in Lviv can be seen under the tag #lviv.
That's a lot of India on the list. Surely several Latin American countries could make the cut?
I once met a guy that told me that his favorite place that he traveled to was Russia in the summertime. That kind of surprised me because he has been EVERYWHERE, I guess I just expected somewhere else to be top of his list...
Nice post. You should also consider Azores, Portugal. I live in Terceira and life here is preaty cheap. Also u can find some cheap flights. Look in to it for you next list.
