Daily Routine of a Hong Kong people
Hello Steemian:)
I am local Hong Kong citizen and would like to introduce you all my special administrative region, in political, social and travel journey viewpoint by using a few article. Here is an amazing platform for me to show people how gorgeous Hong Kong is. :)
Hong Kong is located next to the South China Sea and Pearl River Delta, at the sub-tropical region and a non-earthquake region. I was taught since primary school that Hong Kong is a shelter from natural hazard. Since Hong Kong is located nearby the sea and subtropical region, Hong Kong has humid subtropical climate. We have clearly demarcated four seasons with temperature from the highest 37°C in Summer and lowest 3°C (but really rarely, maybe 1 day in a year was recorded with such temperature) in winter. Rain can be there in any season but mostly in summer.
I personally hate spring the most due to the high humidity to 100°. It feels sticky even though you are not sweating. If you are planning to come for a visit, autumn and winter is probably the best option!!
There is a gorgeous Victoria Harbour across. People can enjoy the view either in Kowloon side or Hong Kong Island. I enjoy the wind breeze so much every time I passed by there:)
During our daily life, we transited mostly with MTR (like metro) and bus. Many people have their own car or taking cab. Some of them would take ferries across different Islands. I usually take bus and MTR myself.
Here is the inner look of a bus. People are all looking down looking at their phone. I was sitting at the upper floor of the bus.
Most of the buses look like this but there are also single stair buses.
Like this.
During the rush hour of the day, MTR station become like this
I hate taking train during rush hour because everywhere would just be full of people. Train is fast and stable however in taking people home. So by talking about home, houses in Hong Kong is occupied by skyscrapers.
This is actually a new housing estate so the environment looks good there. A lot of people living under the poverty line lived in Sub-divided flats or caged "house" with poor living condition.

I will share more about some travel journeies, hiking or biking route...anything about Hong Kong here in this channel! Please feel free to ask any questions. I would be glad to answer all of them!
Stay tuned!
I hope you will share more about Hong Kong (and have followed you). I well remember when Britain handed it over to the PRC. I am so glad it has retained its distinctiveness. Long may that continue!
