EL NIDO PALAWAN MADE ME REALIZE HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE AND ENJOY NATURE

Hi fellow Steemit. This would be my first post here at Steemit and i am really excited to be part of this community. I am a filipino who loves Art,Photography and Traveling around the world. My friends call me Wynn and i wanna share with you guys my experience while traveling to El Nido Palawan, Philippines.

Palawan has always been in my bucket list and because my older brother told me that "If you really want adventure plus nature, you have to go to Palawan and you will know how beautiful that place is". I had been saving money so that i can travel to that place. Good thing my friends were also craving to travel to Palawan, so i joined with them to travel and marked our bucket list together.

The weather was perfect when we arrive at the airport in Palawan, the sky was perfect and clouds were nice to us that day. We were so hyped seeing the island of Palawan!

As we arrive on the island, we did not waste our time looking for souvenirs or eat our breakfast, we made haste to hop on to the van and begin our journey due to the hype we are feeling. Our first trip was going to Puerto Princesas very well known 7 wonders of the world, the Puerto Princesa Underground River.

When we entered the cave it was all dark and quiet. It was so dark that you couldn't even see the person in front of you, all you can see is the flashlight that the tour guide was wearing on hes head. The place has a lot of bats flying over you, good thing they did not drop a poop on us. They also have a cave dome inside that is so big and a rock formation that you will be amaze how creative the nature can be. The cave was so deep that you need a permit to go beyond the normal route. It is said to be the longest navigable underground river in the world which is 8.2 kilometers and the journey to the cave alone is a 24 kilometers long.

After visiting the cave we then moved to El Nido which is a 4 hours road trip and it is a long trip. My back hurts just by sitting on the car, we din arrive to our destination but it was already night time. So we stayed at a budget inn and chilled out for the night with a good cold beer and friends to talk.

The next day we then started our island hopping and as we arrive at the area where we will be meeting up with our tour guide. My eyes were sparkling from the view that i am seeing. The perfect scenery which i only saw from the pictures, is now in front me. I closed my eyes and feel the breeze of the ocean and i was shouting through my mind "THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE!".

I was already expecting that El Nido was beautiful, but i never knew it was beyond expectation. I also met foreigners and other Filipino on the tour and i can see in their faces that they really appreciate the wonders they are looking at. We were having fun sharing our culture to them, specially when we were eating. We taught them how to eat in a Filipino way, by using our hands to grab the rice. We Filipinos don't use spoon and fork when eating. The foreigners really enjoyed the food that the tour guide prepared for us. It was all fresh and they really loved the mango.

On our 3rd day, i was a bit of sad because i really wanted to stay a few more days in El Nido, but we have to go back to Puerto Princesa after the island hopping. Because we still have other itinerary for the trip, another 4 hrs road trip going back to Puerto Princesa. The next day we woke up early in the morning to start another journey, going to crocodile farm. I know, you read it right. "CROCODILE FARM" and literally they have a lot of crocodiles there. But the famous of them all was Rio and Mac-mac, Rio was a 67 year old saltwater crocodile who i believed he devoured a child or a farmer. Due to stress he died and hes remains was displayed after you enter the crocodile farm entrance, and their is Mac-mac a saltwater crocodile that measured 17 feet long. I wouldn't go to the details since i have a picture of Mac-macs profile. I was hoping Lolong was captured and taken cared of here, but it was from a different place in the Philippines. It was scary when you look at them, It feels like i was watching the movie Lake placid. But it was a nice experience just by looking at these amazing reptile.

After the crocodile farm, our last destination was in Baker's Hill. It is a Bakery themed park on the top of a hill, you can already tell from the aroma of the bread that it will taste good and it will make your stomach growl even if you are still outside of the entrance. They also have a pet peacock which has these amazing combination of colors on its feather.

Plus a colorful garden playground for kids.

I will surely come back to this place, but there are still a lot of places to explore, new experience to come, learning new cultures and meet random people.
Overall, Palawan truly is a nature of wonders.
