RE: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - South American Saturday week #37 - the absolute winner takes 200 SBD!
Located in the Canaima National Park (Venezuela), Kukenán or Matawi-Tepuy which means "if you raise me you will die". It is an imposing geological formation, which at 2,680 meters high, is full of mysterious legends and surrounded by a mystical environment that prevents you from contemplating it when you have it in sight. I had read their stories and seen their images, but nothing that you can see or imagine comes close to the impressive and beautiful image when you have it before your eyes. Your reality hypnotizes you, attracts you and makes you run to its maximum point.
Thanks ever so much for your wonderful entry!
Beautiful shot! The name sounds scary, haha... Are the mountains always in clouds?
Thank you for your comment, it was an extraordinary but exhausting experience, it was 5 days walking to reach the summit of the mountain on the right. Yes, clouds usually surround the mountains, but that day was especially clear and beautiful.
