Ho Chi Minh Part 2
Hey guys, I missed out two photos in my post yesterday and these are two places which I must share!
This is the first one! Of course, it's due to the fact that I'm a active Jiujitsu practitioner but if you're looking to try out your first class and ever in Saigon. PLEASE visit these guys out there! They are from Saigon Luta Livre and BJJ; run and taught by Eric. These folks are absolutely amazing, great vibes, great friends made, and they're all super willingly to teach!
If you have never tried Jiu Jitsu before, I urge you to give it a try! What's the worst thing that could happen? a good sweat, workout for about and hour and half before realising you don't really like it? Sounds not too bad to me!
Next is this, like I mentioned in my previous post, Saigon is a amazing place filled with temples; incorporated with amazing architectures from the past and also some treasures with historical value. As in these plaques found in this temple; they actually depict some of the alternative names commonly addressed to the goddess..
To be exact, Goddess of the Sea temple - 妈祖, dedicated to the goddess whom for hundreds upon hundreds of years, supposedly blesses and protects all those who goes out to sea, or works out at sea; to ensure they have a safe voyage back home. As for the history and legend behind this , i'll leave it to you guys to research!
