On the bus ride from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Kotor, Montenegro. | Travel and photography
They arrived an hour late but once we were on the road, everything went smoothly. It can take about 1/2 an hour to an hour on the border for customs clearance depending on how many people are on the bus.
Its still a long way to go in Croatia but buses are getting better by the year. Now, there is the new competition going on such as Flix buses. So the prices came down a little bit... Sadly there is still no railway in Dubrovnik.
I remember the ride from Dubrovnik to Kotor and the deserted, shallow, rocky beaches all the way down. Beautiful. Old town Kotor with two cruise ships made up for all the empty stretches we saw on the way in there.
Yup! :) We took a bus to Perast (you must have passed it on your way to Kotor)and found a tiny shoreline where we swam and enjoyed the stunning view. I actually enjoyed Kotor more than Dubrovnik because even though there were cruise ships, it never felt super crowded.
