Introduceyourself: An American Life, With Indigenous Blood.

Aloha my fellow steemers, you can call me Izzy, although Isreal grabs my attention a little bit more, your preference. Anyway grateful to be a part of this ever growing community of evolving social media/crypto platform, and share my passions and joys of the world with you. I will start by saying, growing up I pursued the American dream because that’s all we were taught (at least where I was raised) but it wasn’t long until I graduated college with a bachelors degree in health science and soon after woke up to the path of my ancestors. You see my ancestors are of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, as well the Aztec people, but the indigenous people have a very large portion of their history missing and misconstrued information from our history books, but as they say “the winners write the story.”

Through My personal journey I was distracted with sports and TV like most American kids, and ‘school’ (more like prison). Even more so, being successful in sports only developed the ego and clouded my vision to not only Myself, but the earth, the universe, and most importantly my ancestors. Therefore I never had time nor recollection to even consider the history of my ancestors and where I come from, until the awakening hits, and as some of you know a lot of the times that event(s) is not a subtle awakening.

Fast Forward🌀

So in this first post I would like to include a brief intro to my brother and I and the work we do with intentions of meeting the Steemit community and ‘like-hearted’ people through the gathering and distribution of knowledge/information. We intend to assist not just to this community but to the community of earth and humanity.

Me personally, I make jewelry with stones and wire wrapping, I make stone beaded necklaces, feather fans, Medicine pouches, earrings, green lotus essential oil hydrosols, and now currently getting into making drums and koras (west Africa instrument). But it’s not about me..

My Brother and I travel the world sharing our ancestors ways of ceremony and the inter-communication/relationship of the natural forces/Elements. We enjoy sharing the fire, tree, and water ceremony, which the term ‘ceremony’ in its basic form can be seen as simply as an intentional circle. But these gatherings attract (natural force) like-hearted people under the common understanding of “life more abundantly” and are each in their own respect a celebration of life and the natural forces that govern this planetary experience.

Currently the the work that has us traveling the west coast is our ‘Sound Ceremonies,’ similar to sound baths, this is an experience and intentional space that allows our fellow brothers and sisters, depending on there level of ‘spiritual’ practice, to access a deep space within their bodies and hearts effortlessly. This is achieved through the ancient technology of the medicine wheel that our ancestors speak of and use, a certain breath pattern, imagery (meditation), medicine songs and different combinations of ‘sacred sound.’ We use different primal instruments, for instance I play flute, didgeridoo, sound bowls, hang drum, medicine drum, gong, kora, and we use vocal toning along with the process and science of Invocation of spoken word (i.e. prayer). In the latter stages of this work this can be experienced to release stored emotional trauma, or stagnant energy. (E-motion=energy in motion)

We also have been traveling the last few years going to specific historical sites or ruins, or what science calls vortex points, which are cumulations of ley lines within the earth that also have dense proportions of resources, these areas are seen as ‘high energy’ geographical locations (I.e. Sedona,AZ, Mt. Shasta, CA). What we do at these locations may only be understood to the aspirant seeking “life more abundantly,” but here we give offerings (I.e. tobacco, food, hair). Which may be more easily understood through the act of “giving,” the law of cause and effect. At these ‘sacred areas’ we also play our instruments and sing with knowledge of the law of vibration, that with intention alone we directly assist our earth, the earth mother.

Assist in what?
Well it’s not hard to look around and notice the disharmonious lives we have created for ourselves therefore the earth mother. Since our ancestors view the earth as a living organism, just as you and I, that gives us all the resources we need in order to sustain ourselves in this life. Therefore reffered to as the mother Gaia, or Mother Earth as we know ‘her.’

We also take elders of different tribes and traditions on speaking tours who we see as ‘wisdom keepers.’ On these tours we simply listen to where we are needed around the country and attract the like-hearted people to join with us in different ceremonies/intentional circles or talks so that these elders can distribute this lost Knowledge for the use of the people.

We also use feathers and stones in an ancient energy ‘healing’ modality called ‘feather tapping’ in individual sessions. This modality is seen by our ancestors as to moving and clearing energy with the feather out of the hands and feet of the client. The feathers represent an angelic energy, and the tapping symbolizes the imprinting of this energy. I also use a modality called ‘Inversion Therapy’ where we gradually hang the client upside down and do body work with them that’s target the spine and all back issues.

Other work includes helping farmer friends of ours with their sustainable living projects such as permaculture, planting, green houses, harvesting, renewable energy. But also we work to connect these communities with eachother, as well as connecting the right people who see the future in these communities to volunteers their time and energy.

Believe it or not all of our ceremonial work has been based on donation and the understanding of the law of abundance and the faith in creation that keeps giving, which has sustained our travels for the last 6 years. To that we say Yanga Mamu- (thank you to the creator of all that is)

Which brings me to the infamous Disclaimer:

Only take the information that resonates with you and share it, other wise try not to judge the information/concepts that doesn’t sit with you and don’t attach to it, for only the individual self may bear his/her own truth.”
