Paris- the city of love
STAGE 2 - PARIGI
The next day, after buying a pretzel souvenir, we went to Paris, the city of love.
We had lunch with a baguette and a bit of ham (we already knew that we were going to get to Paris) and after a five-hour driving we arrived at the hotel parking . We arrived at the hotel we had a shower, and we immediately threw ourselves through the streets of the beautiful city. At the corner of our street there was in fact a very cute little bar full of red light and chose to stop there. Everything seemed already charming and lovely, as if I were in another world. This magical atmosphere, however, was ruined by a guard who controlled the people at the bar ...
fact of everyday life in this period. Apart from this minor inconvenience we realized that the atmosphere was also marred by an other thing .... THE PRICE !!!!! we paid a limoncello 8 euro!! In Italy it costs less than half haha. However tired and poor we returned home, ready for the next day that lay ahead full of wonders.
DAY 1
how nice to wake up in Paris !!! Everything looks different under a new, more fascinating and romantic light. Our itinerary of the day included three main stages: Arch of Triumph, champ Elisee and Eiffel Tower. These seem few things but in reality no !! and this was evidenced by the 22,768 steps we made in one day (Tommy has application to count steps). The first stage, the Arc de Triomphe, was very close to our hotel, and it took us less time to reach rather that to get in !!! In fact, it was under renovation and we didnt’ find the entry. Once over the hurdle, however, we were able to reach this majestic and imposing structure. You feel their little one when you're under the great arch !!!
There was a large tomb with a torch that will never go out. We discovered that the tomb was called the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the flame was lit in memory of the dead of the First and Second World War never been identified.
from the Arc of triumph we walked to th champ elisee! endless luxury shops and dealerships, where we also saw the new Peugeot.
We have seen the Lido, a local luxury, i believe,by the price list .... minimun 170 € .
We saw the disney shops, clothes shops, huge palaces, soldiers armed to the teeth and many guards outside each building. This path was really amazing, a shop might seem like a luxury building in which every detail was looked after with care. We've come all the way and stopped just to visit the Petit Palace (really very nice) where collections of artists and sculptors dating back to 1900 were exposed.
Concluded the famous street in Paris we came to Maddalena Church and to the famous Place de la Concorde. A huge square surrounded by beautiful infrastructure, monuments and at its center there was the obelisk of Luxor.
Next to the square there was a huge park, called "Garden of the Tuileries."
This park is just a paradise, a place of peace where you can rest while forgetting to be in a big city, where you can be alone in nature. Out of this park there were motorcycle taxi and I and tommi course we chose the means to reach the Eiffel Tower. As ever !!!!!! They cost more than taxis and they wew very jalopies!!
After a brief and tumultuous journey we arrived at the Eiffel Tower and mistakenly entered, we did half the Eiffel Tower on foot !!! Fortunately, in the final part we were whisked by elevator otherwise who knows that fear !!!! The view from the Eiffel Tower is spectacular, you can see the whole city that, although huge, you seem small from up there.
I would have stayed on the Eiffel tower forever but unfortunately it started to rain and they dropped us off in a hurry. From video present on the tower we found that serve 70 tons of paint and six months of work to paint the Eiffel Tower! And this work is done every seven years !!!! Back home (in a taxi this time) and after we rested, we decided to call Huber and reach the city center. Paris has the beauty of always surprising, every time you think you've already seen enough accompanying but no !!! It always happens something more wonderful to be able to observe. The center was very nice, full of locals of all ethnic groups, and very bright. We had dinner, and drank in a room that strangely accepting bitcoins, the "Soft Bar".
Tired but very happy we came home aware that the next day would be just as great.
