The Mystery of the Moai Statues, (and the bottle) Easter Island / CHILE ● Moai Heykellerinin (ve şişesinin) Gizemi, Paskalya Adası / ŞİLİ

First of all, i’d like to share with you this bottle that we had brought from our unforgettable travel, which is the traditional drink of the island shaped as Moai.

İlk olarak, bu unutulmaz seyahatten hatıra olarak getirdiğimiz Moai şeklindeki şişesi ile adanın yerel içkisini paylaşmak istiyorum (:

And the story;
Easter Island, which located about 3700 km. west of the Chile in the Pacific Ocean has antique names as Pito-O-Te-Henua (meaning is; The Center of the Earth) and Mata-Ki-Te-Rani (meaning is; The Eyes Looking to the Heaven). According to the mythological knowledges of some researches, The Easter Island’d had a antique civilization which were exploring the sky with their observatories.

Ve hikayesi;
Büyük Okyanus'ta, Şili'nin 3700 km. batısında bulunan Paskalya Adası’nın antik isimlerinden biri “Te-Pito-O-Te-Henua”. Anlamı, “Dünyanın Merkezi”. Bir diğer ismi de “Mata-Ki-Te-Rani”, yani “Cennete Bakan Gözler”. Bazı araştırmalarda mitolojik bilgiler dikkate alındığında, Paskalya Adası’nın binlerce yıl önce var olan ve gözlemevleriyle gökyüzünü araştıran antik bir uygarlığa ev sahipliği yaptığı ve çok önemli bir coğrafik konuma sahip olduğu öne sürülüyor.

Moai is the name of that huge statues which was made of solid stone and located in mysterious Chile Island. This 638 Moai statues and temples (approximately over a thousand piece with the uncompleted ones) had discovered at first in 1722 and they had sorted out and recorded in accordance with their types and dimensions in 1935.

Moai, gizemli Paskalya Adası'nda bulunan som taştan dev heykellere verilen addır. Moai heykellerini ve tapınakları ilk olarak 1722'de keşfedilmiş, 1935’te ise 638 adet heykel, türlerine ve büyüklüklerine göre sınıflandırarak kaydedilmiştir. Bazıları yarım bırakılmış olmakla beraber toplamda 1000'den fazla heykel olduğu tahmin ediliyor.

The longest statue called Paro and it has 82 tons weight, 10 meter length. Male figures called as Moai Kavakava and the female figures called as Moai Pæpæ.

En uzun Moai'ye Paro denir ve yaklaşık 10 metre uzunluğa, 82 ton ağırlığa sahiptir. Erkek figürler "Moai Kavakava", dişi figürler de "Moai Pæpæ" adıyla anılır.

The researches about this statues have never been enough to understand that they made for what, how and when because there isn’t any symbol or inscription on them. The only common point is the facial expression of statues. Each one of them has a proud smile (:
It has supposed that they built between 1000-1600 years and they are fathers of the indigenous peoples which are communicating with spirits and protecting the island.

Heykellerin üzerinde yapılan araştırmalar bu heykellerin sırrını çözmeye, ne amaçla, nasıl ve ne zaman yapıldığını anlamaya yetmedi çünkü üzerlerinde ne bir sembol ya da ne bir yazılı eser bulunuyor. Tek ortak nokta, heykellerin surat ifadeleri. Hepsinin yüzünde gururlu bir gülümseme mevcut. (:
M.S. 1000 ile 1600 yılları arasında inşa edildiği, yerlilerin ruhlarla iletişim kuran ataları oldukları ve adayı korudukları tahmin ediliyor.
