What is the one place that you cannot miss when visiting Slovakia? Definitely High Tatras!
The national park High Tatras is situated in the north of Slovakia. It is partly shared with our neighbouring country, Poland. The highest peak is Gerlachovský štít, at 2,655 meters.
When I was a child, I used to go to High Tatras almost every weekend. This winter, I returned for a week to enjoy these beautiful views:
On the way to the Bilikova cottage, we have seen some statues from snow. Not your typical snowman...
Cottages are very popular here and to be honest, some people go hiking, so that they can have tea with rum once they reach a cottage:D But it is not all about the rum. The tea is made from special herbs that only grow in the mountains and is really delicious!
If you decide to visit your place, don't forget a warm jacket and enjoy the winter wonderland!:)
