Never hitchhiked so far, but I found out last summer that the communications between Balkan countries (be it by bus or train) are quite difficult and erratic, which is a shame. So, hitchhiking makes perfect sense :)
well- i found it out just 2 days before going to belgrade, so there was no other choice but hitchhike :P
