The Unseen Prague - Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace
Getting awake at 5am for some reason and feeling like unable to sleep anymore, I was checking the camera roll on my iPhone aimlessly and found some fascinating images of Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace in Prague, which I took in the summer of 2016.
This Baroque / Rococo style building just next to the Charles Bridge, now partly utilized as one of the exhibition places of the Prague City Gallery, was so quiet and had few visitors on that day. Seemingly some concerts would be held in the evening and it would get more tourists, but at that time I enjoyed spooky yet gorgeous atmosphere of this old palace. I felt like being lost inside the Andrei Tarkovsky’s film!

Its funny you are in Osaka and posting about Prague. : ) The city really leaves an impression, doesn't it?
Yes you’re right, at that time I visited the art exhibition too (Pražský fantastický realismus v 60.let, it was nice too), that’s why I didn’t notice the entrance to the historic area was free. But it’s a shame if it’ll be closed down... :(
Yeah Prague is very impressive city, also I have lots of personal memories in it. And it’s also fun for me to write and share these memories in English :)
Beautiful! I have a theory (or more of a fancy) that we live in a simulated world and buildings such as these are gifts from God, baked into the world we occupy. Some of these old buildings seem to transcend human architecture.
I know the feeling. I think some old buildings have some invisible but strong strata of time in the air, that’s also quite transcendental.
Wow this place looks great
It is great :)
