A road trip with Alice to the top of the mountain Hay Bluff on the border country of England and Wales UK.
The route from from Abergaveny on the A465 runs along flat and north towards Hereford.
The turn off towards the bluff is a left from the main road at Pandy.
The mountain road winds up for many miles from here, it takes around half an hour to drive up to the pass, its very scenic, steep and thin in places but a really beautiful journey.
I happened to drive up the road at night this time, the fog was as thick as soup and was almost hanging like string in the air, by the time i came through the pass i was driving almost at a walking pace.
Theirs a few car parks to choose from once I've travelled over the pass and the views looking out from any of them are trully magnificent.
I lit my burner got all cosy, and settled in for the night i was soon drifting off into a blissful sleep.
It's always good to arrive somewhere at night because when I wake up I'm always very excited to open the curtains on the windows, to look out, admire the view.
Up here it gives the feeling that I'm in the clouds.
Theirs quite a few routes up to the top of the bluff from the car Park
Most of then are quite steep though but on top as you can see its more than amazing!!.
If you look very carefully you might just be able to see Alice the truck in the carpark a long way down in the far distance

Thanks m8, ever since I watched a doco called Without bound a few years back I have really wanter to live like this. Not sure if you have seen the doco but have linked it for you.
I aim for in 10 years time to live like this, that's my goal.
I was looking at something like this but if I can find something which I can renovate which is old and run down I would prefer that. Then I can make it how I like :)
